Cigna

We are partnered with Wildflower Health (WH) to provide in-network lactation services for families with Cigna health insurance.

Family will be approved for six (6) visits, which include prenatal visits, virtual visits, and in-person visits. Pre-approval must be obtained online prior to our visit. You will receive an email confirming or denying your insurance provider’s participation with Wildflower Health.

A credit card is require to schedule all lactation visits. A travel fee applies for insurance home visits.

  • If your insurance plan is not in network with The Lactation Network or Wildflower Health, we offer self pay rates and can provide you with a lactation super bill for insurance reimbursement. Read about insurance versus self pay.‍ ‍

  • It’s More Than Milk can accept cash, credit cards, or your FSA/HSA cards. An invoice can be sent prior to your visit.

  • Payments are due at time of service, unless discussed ahead of time.

  • TLN and WH can only be used for private prenatal and postpartum lactation visits. Insurance benefits through TLN and WH cannot be used for small group prenatal lactation classes.

We are partnered with The Lactation Network (TLN) to provide lactation services for families with most Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Anthem, United Healthcare, Aetna, Curative, and Multiplan insurance coverage plans.

Pre-approval must be obtained online prior to our visit. You will receive an email confirmation of your submission and a separate email confirming or denying your insurance provider’s participation with TLN.

Changes to consult limits have recently been put in place for TLN coverage. Confirmation of coverage emails should include details for the number of visits your plan allows. TLN does not cover virtual or telehealth visits for Aetna or United families, though your individual plan may.

While the majority of TLN patients do not have any out-of-pocket costs for covered preventative lactation visits, some insurance plans may apply standard cost-sharing such as copays, deductibles, or coinsurance. Any patient responsibility is determined by you or your baby’s specific health plan. If your insurer processes a balance after your visit, TLN will notify you of the balance after the claim is processed. You are encouraged to review your plan benefits if you have questions about your potential cost-sharing obligations for lactation services.
