For timely support, we recommend scheduling an office visit.
Initial Postpartum Lactation Consultation
An initial postpartum visit is 120 minutes, and includes follow up by phone, text, or email for two weeks after our visit about your care plan. This visit happens at your home; many parents find this extremely helpful for feeding support soon after birth. If it is determined that additional in-person support is needed or it has been more than two weeks since our visit, a follow up consultation may be recommended. A report of our visit will be emailed to you and faxed to your baby’s pediatrician within 24 hours.
Visit includes:
A full evaluation of parent and baby's medical history
Assistance with latch and proper positioning techniques
Weighed feeding (pre/post feed weights)
Oral assessment of infant
Evaluation of milk transfer
Addressing your primary concerns and challenges
Pumping, bottle feeding, and supplementing (if applicable)
Evidence-based support and education on newborn and baby care
Customized care plan to help family reach their lactation goals
Self pay: $325 (one baby), $350 (multiples)
A $125 travel fee will apply for TLN and Wildflower Health families only.
Travel fee applies to each home visit (initial visits and all follow up visits) through The Lactation Network and Wildflower Health. Travel fee is included in private pay price.
Follow Up Postpartum Consultation
For established clients only
Follow up consultations are a time to check in and ensure that your lactation issue is on the right path. This includes follow up by phone, text, or email for two weeks after our visit about your care plan. If it is determined that additional in-person support is needed, an additional follow up consultation may be recommended. A report of our visit will be available and sent to your child's provider within 24 hours. While each appointment is different, a visit may include:
Weighed feeding (pre/post feed weights)
Evaluation of milk transfer
Evidence-based support and education on newborn and baby care
Reevaluating our care plan
Self pay: $300 (one baby), $300 (multiples)
