Sunayana Weber BS, IBCLC, RLC
Founder & Boob Nerd

Sunayana Weber (she/her/hers) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), who owns and operates It’s More Than Milk Lactation Services. In her role, she focuses on helping families achieve their lactation goals through various means such as individual consultations, private, and small group classes. Sunayana is dedicated to providing comprehensive support that spans from prenatal stages to weaning, covering all aspects of breastfeeding, chest feeding, and pumping journeys. Her expertise is not limited to lactation; she has also undertaken additional training in trauma-informed care, anti racist practice, gender affirming care, and perinatal mental health. This additional training signifies her commitment to addressing the broader needs and challenges that families may face during the perinatal period. Because of her personal experiences and the population she serves, she is pursuing a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. Clients have described her as informative, empathetic, and supportive, and report that she makes them feel very confident.

Jessica Semar IBCLC, RLC
Lactation Consultant Extraordinaire

Jessica Semar (she/her/hers) was inspired to become a lactation consultant after an IBCLC helped her overcome challenges breastfeeding her first son following a NICU stay. She has worked with breastfeeding families since 2017 and became an IBCLC in 2019. She has expertise in assessing oral function and oral ties, breast refusal, transitioning home from the NICU, and supporting neurodiverse families. She has additional training and experience with bottle refusal, exclusive pumping, induced lactation, gender affirming care, and low milk production. Jessica is passionate about providing inclusive, evidence-based, individualized care to families throughout their lactation journey.

Amie Volk MSN, RN, CLE
Lactation Educator & Soon-to-Be LC

Amie Volk (she/her/hers) is a registered nurse with six years of pediatric and newborn experience. Her first job as a nurse was in labor, delivery, and postpartum. This job is what really piqued her interest in supporting breastfeeding and chest feeding families. She has worked at a pediatric clinic for the past three years where she has particularly enjoyed helping new families transition into their role as parents. She is passionate about educating and empowering parents in their feeding journey, and is interested in seeking further education and experience in perinatal mental health, bottle refusal, and exclusive pumping. Amie strives to provide inclusive, empathetic, and evidence-based care to all families, no matter what their feeding journey looks like.

Amie has completed her lactation specific education and clinical hours through University of California at San Diego’s Pathway 2 Program. She will sit for the IBCLC exam in Fall 2024.
